Staff – Physical Therapist Assistants
Megan Brown, PTA, LMT
Megan began working with TMS Physical Therapy P.C. in November 2006. She treats patients in our clinical setting as well as in our therapeutic aquatic program.
Megan graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Butler County Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapist Assistant program and completed her Massage Therapy Licensure. After graduation, she then furthered her knowledge and has a background in Women’s Health and Lymphedema. She is a credentialed clinical instructor through the APTA and is the contact person for students interested to volunteer or complete an internship within our clinic.
She assists patients to overcome their physical disability and to live a more enjoyable functional lifestyle. She obtains great pleasure and is extremely compassionate, persistent and detail orientated with assisting patients to help them accomplish their goals.
In her spare time Megan enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies are crafting, baking and enjoying the outdoors.
Melissa Russell, PTA, LMT
Melissa joined TMS Physical Therapy in August 2009. She received her education at The University of Pittsburgh-Titusville and graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapist program in 2003. She received her certification in Massage Therapy from Butler County Community College in 2004.
Following graduation in 2003 she began her career at an outpatient physical therapy clinic in Butler, Pennsylvania. She was employed there for four years prior to moving to Virginia. While in Virginia she worked in an outpatient physical therapy clinic for a little more than two years. Upon moving back to Pennsylvania she became employed at TMS Physical Therapy.
She currently resides in Emlenton with her husband and their two children.
Hally Fischer, PTA, LMT
Hally Fischer graduated with honors from Butler County Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapist program. Hally began working at TMS Physical Therapy in May 2012.
Hally is committed to providing the highest quality of care for her patients while providing a safe, effective and ethical environment at TMS. She works in both clinical & aquatic therapy.
Hally enjoys camping, outdoor activities and loves to read. Foremost she enjoys being with her family and friends.
Katherine Weaver, PTA
Katie is a 2013 graduate of Penn State Shenango with an Associate of Applied Science degree in the Physical Therapist program and also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Penn State University. Katie began her Physical therapy career in an outpatient clinic in Titusville for a year before joining our team at TMS in June of 2015. In her spare time she enjoys being with family and friends and enjoying the outdoors.
Jerry Gawne, PTA
Jerry Gawne graduated from Penn State University in 2005. He started working for Tim Schell in May 2006. Jerry works as a Physical Therapist Assistant at both TMS Physical Therapy and Coolsprings Physical Therapy locations and has been a great addition to our team. He treats patients in our clinic setting as well as in our therapeutic aquatic setting. Prior to deciding to become a Physical Therapist Assistant Jerry worked at Warner Ladder for ten years. Jerry lives in Mercer with his wonderful wife Deb and two children Alec and Eric. In hiss free time Jerry enjoys coaching wrestling and football.
Elizabeth Kruck, PTA
Liz is a graduate of Penn State Shenango with an Associate Decree in Applied Science for Physical Therapy. She has been with PTA with Cool Springs since 2009. She has a passion for aquatic therapy and can often be found treating patients in either of our 2 pools.
Liz is a native of Grove City and a graduate of Grove City High School in 2006. After graduation, she spent 3 months in the Dominican Republic as a foreign exchange student. She completed a semester at Slippery Rock University before enrolling in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Penn State Shenango.
She is the proud mother of a little girl and enjoys spending her free time with family and friends. Her hobbies include working out and competing in running races and triathlons. She has a strong love for cooking, the beach and anything outdoors.
Megan Krajci, PTA
Megan graduated in August 2016 from the Penn State Shenango Physical Therapist Assistant program with an Associate of Applied Science degree, she also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Penn state Behrend. Her journey began at Cool Springs Physical Therapy and now works at both of our facilities in Mercer and Grove City as needed. Megan resides in Sharpsville with her husband and three dogs.
