To maintain the level of care that is required from the therapists at TMS Physical Therapy, the professional staff is required to attend continuing education classes yearly. Each of the physical therapists also has Direct Access Licenses.
As of December 2004, our Physical Therapists have been licensed through the State of Pennsylvania for Direct Access. Direct Access allows a physical therapist to treat a patient without a referral/prescription for up to 30 days from the date of the first treatment. Due to the newness of Direct Access, not all insurances may pay for the visits. We still ask that patients check with their own insurance companies to ensure their insurance will pay/self pay for the visits through Direct Access or if a prescription/referral is required.
